These stainless steel groundbreaker spades are endorsed by the Royal Horticultural Society, perhaps the ultimate gardening accolade.
With a long handle, the groundbreaker spades are extremely strong. The small spade has been tested to a breaking strain of 90kg, which is 125% stronger than the British standard. Similarly the large spade has been tested to a breaking strain of 100kg, which is 82% stronger than the British standard.
Crafted from certified hardwood and finished with a comfortable 'Y' grip, the handle of each spade has a double riveted base for additional strength. The stainless steel head is highly resistant to rust, and the pointed and sharpened spade head allows you to dig deep in even the toughest soil - making gardening less strenuous. If it meets a stone or root when digging, it simply passes the obstruction to the side.
